Daniel William Carter is a retired New Zealand rugby union player. Born on March 5, 1982, he played for the Crusaders in Super Rugby and represented the national team, the All Blacks. Carter is recognized as the highest point scorer in test match rugby and is widely regarded as one of the greatest first five-eighths (fly-halves) in the history of the sport.
