Dan Cortese

Daniel James Cortese, born on September 14, 1967, is an American actor and director of Italian descent. He gained recognition for his roles as Perry Rollins in Veronica's Closet and Vic Meladeo in What I Like About You. Prior to his acting career, Cortese played college football as a backup quarterback for the University of North Carolina. In 1992, he became the host of the Emmy Award-winning show MTV Sports, which he continued to host until 1997. Cortese also participated in the MTV Rock N' Jock games as the player/coach for The Bricklayers and The Homeboys. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcasting in 1990.
