Dan Eckman
Dan Eckman (born January 27, 1984) is an American director, writer, and producer. He first gained recognition for his work in the sketch group Derrick Comedy. Eckman was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, and has been involved in filmmaking since the age of 15. He earned his B.F.A. in Film and TV Production from New York University in 2005. Eckman gained acclaim for his NYU thesis film, CHECKOUT, which won multiple awards at the 2006 HBO US Comedy Arts Festival. In 2009, he directed and co-wrote the film Mystery Team, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Eckman continues to be active in the film industry, working on various projects as a director, writer, and producer.
