Dan Futterman Biography
Daniel Paul Futterman, born on June 8, 1967, is an American actor, screenwriter, and producer. Futterman gained recognition for his screenplay work on the film Capote, earning him an Academy Award nomination as well as several other accolades. He received another Academy Award nomination for co-writing the script of Foxcatcher in 2014. Alongside his writing career, Futterman is also known for his acting roles, such as Val Goldman in The Birdcage and Vincent Gray on the CBS series Judging Amy. Futterman was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, and grew up in Larchmont, New York. He graduated from Columbia University in 1989 and is married to television writer and producer Anya Epstein.
