Dan Payne

Daniel Payne, born August 4, 1972, is a Canadian actor known for his role as John in the TV series Alice, I Think. Before pursuing acting, Payne was a professional volleyball player in his early 20s. He later moved to Australia, where he began creating short films with his brother. Payne then relocated to the UK, where he played 'the big, dumb American' in British films and TV shows. In 2001, he settled in Vancouver. Payne appeared in several roles on the science fiction series Stargate SG-1 and its spin-off Stargate Atlantis. He also portrayed Nathan Davidson in the 2008 film Mulligans.
