Danelle Umstead
Danelle D'Aquanni Umstead (born February 15, 1972) is an American alpine skier, Paralympian, and television personality. She is a member of the US Paralympics team and has competed in multiple Winter Paralympic Games. At the 2010 Winter Paralympics in Vancouver, she won a bronze medal in the downhill and combined events, with her husband Rob Umstead serving as her sighted guide. In the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, she earned a bronze medal in the super combined event. She also participated in the 2018 Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang, competing in various events. Umstead has a genetic eye condition called retinitis pigmentosa. In 2018, she appeared as a celebrity contestant on season 27 of Dancing with the Stars, partnered with professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev.
