Daniel Caltagirone Biography
Daniel Caltagirone (born 18 June 1972) is an English actor known for his roles in popular films such as The Beach, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, and the Oscar-winning film The Pianist. He gained recognition for his lead role as Moon in the television series Lock Stock. Caltagirone was born and raised in London, attending St Ignatius College, Enfield. He also spent a significant amount of time in New York City. After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, he was cast in his first film, Legionnaire, alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme. He later had a season at the Royal Shakespeare Company and was discovered by director Danny Boyle.
