Daniel Casey

Daniel Casey (born June 1, 1972) is an English actor known for his role as DS Gavin Troy in the long-running television series Midsomer Murders. Born in Stockton-on-Tees, he attended Grey College, Durham, and graduated with a BA in English Literature before pursuing acting. Casey started his career in theater, touring with a production of Dead Fish. In addition to Midsomer Murders, he has portrayed Anthony Cox in Our Friends in the North and leading firefighter Tony Barnes in Steel River Blues. Casey has also appeared in shows like M.I. High, Inspector George Gently, Marchlands, Casualty, and Coronation Street.
