Daniel Coll Biography
Daniel Coll (born 1961) is an English actor and film director. He is best known for his portrayal of DI Frank Blackmore in ITV's Emmerdale. Coll received his training at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. He holds an MA in Filmmaking from Sheffield Hallam University. Coll has made numerous appearances in popular television shows including Coronation Street and Heartbeat. He also appeared in Mel Gibson's Braveheart. Coll played one of the original dads in Billy Elliot the Musical in London's West End and portrayed Tim in the film Bullseye. Additionally, he was Enjolras in the UK tour of Les Misérables from 1992 to 1994. Coll is a director and producer, and his directorial debut, The Tragedy of Macbeth, was released in 2012 and won him the Best Director award at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival.
