Daniel Dwight Tosh (born May 29, 1975) is an American comedian, writer, and producer. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in marketing before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy. Tosh gained recognition after his appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman in 2001. This led to various national show appearances and his own 30-minute special on Comedy Central Presents in 2003. From 2009 to 2020, Tosh hosted the Comedy Central series Tosh.0, where he provided comedic commentary on popular internet video clips. He is also known for his deliberately offensive and controversial style of black comedy, as well as his stand-up comedy tours and specials.
