Daniel Luke Zelman (born June 16, 1967) is an American actor, screenwriter, television producer, and director. He was born in New York and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Harvard University in 1990, followed by a Master of Fine Arts from New York University Tisch School of the Arts in 1993. Zelman is best known as an executive producer on the FX drama series Damages, which he co-created with Todd A. Kessler and Glenn Kessler. He has also worked as a writer on various films, including They Nest, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, and Fool's Gold. Zelman was previously married to actress Debra Messing and they have a son together.
