Danny DeVito Biography
Danny DeVito, born November 17, 1944, is an American actor, comedian, and filmmaker. He rose to fame playing the role of Louie De Palma, the taxi dispatcher, in the television series Taxi (1978–1983), for which he won a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award. DeVito is also well-known for his portrayal of Frank Reynolds in the sitcom It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2006–present). He has appeared in numerous films including One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), Batman Returns (1992), Matilda (1996), and Jumanji: The Next Level (2019). DeVito has also lent his voice to animated films like Hercules (1997), The Lorax (2012), and Smallfoot (2018). DeVito co-founded Jersey Films alongside Michael Shamberg.
