Danny Strong is an American actor, film and television writer, director, and producer. He is best known for his roles as Jonathan Levinson in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Doyle McMaster in Gilmore Girls. Strong has also made a name for himself as a talented screenwriter, having penned the scripts for notable projects such as Recount, Game Change, Lee Daniels' The Butler, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and Part 2. In addition to his acting and writing work, Strong is a co-creator, executive producer, director, and writer for the popular Fox series Empire. He also created, wrote, and directed the critically acclaimed Hulu miniseries Dopesick.
