Danny Wells Biography
Danny Wells (April 7, 1941 – November 28, 2013), born Jack Westelman, was a Canadian actor known for his roles in both television and film. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Charlie, the bartender on The Jeffersons, and his role as Luigi in the live-action/animated series The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. Wells began his acting career in 1972 on the comedy television show Love, American Style. He made his film debut in 1975's The Strongest Man in the World and went on to appear in successful movies such as Private Benjamin (1980) and The Woman in Red (1984). Throughout his career, Wells primarily worked in television.
