Darrell D'Silva Biography
Darrell Fitzgerald D'Silva (born 5 January 1964) is a British film and theatre actor known for his work with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). Born in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, D'Silva has a diverse background of Portuguese, Greek, French, Dutch, and English heritage. Before pursuing acting, he was part of the Sheffield music scene in the 1980s, playing with The Anti-Group Group and Hula. Graduating from the Drama Centre London, D'Silva joined the RSC in 1996 and has been associated with the company for over 20 years. He has toured globally and received a nomination for The Washington Post Helen Hayes Award for his performance in 'Dunsinane' by David Greig. D'Silva has also worked at the Royal National Theatre on productions such as 'The Rose Tattoo' and 'The Royal Hunt of the Sun'.
