Darren Charles Barnet is an American actor born on April 27, 1991, in Los Angeles. He gained recognition for his role as Paxton Hall-Yoshida in the Netflix series Never Have I Ever. Barnet's mother is of Swedish and Japanese descent, while his father is of German and Cherokee descent. His grandfather was swing musician Charlie Barnet. He has an older and a younger sister. Barnet moved to Orlando, Florida, with his mother when he was 12 years old. He graduated from Dr. Phillips High School in 2009 and later earned a Bachelor of Arts from Berry College in 2013. Fluent in English, Japanese, and conversational Spanish, he also has knowledge of French.
