Darren Criss is an American actor, singer, and songwriter. He gained recognition for his role on the TV series Glee, which aired from 2010 to 2015. Criss received critical acclaim and won Emmy and Golden Globe awards for his portrayal of Andrew Cunanan in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story in 2018. He has also appeared on Broadway and in films. Criss is a founding member of StarKid Productions, a musical theater company, and gained attention for his role in their production of A Very Potter Musical. He has also performed on Broadway in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. In addition, Criss co-founded Elsie Fest, a music festival celebrating stage and screen tunes.
