Darren Evans Biography
Darren Evans (born November 9, 1988) is a former American football running back. He played college football at Virginia Tech and was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2011. At Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, Evans excelled as a football player, receiving Indiana's Mr. Football Award in 2006. During his college career, Evans broke numerous records, including the school single-game rushing record and being the only player in school history to rush for a touchdown in each of his first six games. He was named the most valuable player in the 2009 Orange Bowl. Unfortunately, Evans suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the summer practice in 2009, ending his professional football career.
