Dave Hill
Dave Hill is an English rock musician known for his role as the lead guitarist, backing vocalist, and sole continuous member of the English band Slade. Born on April 4, 1946, in Flete House, Holbeton, Devon, Hill moved to Penn, Wolverhampton, at a young age. He attended Springdale Junior School and Highfields Secondary school. Hill bought his first guitar from a mail-order catalogue and formed a band called The Young Ones with school friends. Before pursuing music full-time, he worked in an office for Tarmac Limited. Hill originally played with drummer Don Powell in The Vendors, which later became The N' Betweens, and eventually formed Slade with bass player Jimmy Lea and singer Noddy Holder.
