Dave Hill (born David John Hill on 4 April 1946) is an English rock musician and lead guitarist of the band Slade. Known for his flamboyant stage clothes and hairstyle, Hill has been a part of Slade since its inception and is the only continuous member of the band. Born in Flete House, Holbeton, Devon, he moved to Penn, Wolverhampton at a young age. Hill attended Springdale Junior School and Highfields Secondary school before buying his first guitar and forming a band called The Young Ones. Prior to his music career, Hill worked in an office for Tarmac Limited. Despite being left-handed, he plays guitar right-handed.
