David Acord

David Acord is an American sound editor and voice actor. He is best known for his work as a supervising sound editor on the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, for which he received nominations for the Academy Award for Best Sound Editing and the British Academy Film Award for Best Sound. Acord also provided the voice for several characters in the film, including the memorable stormtrooper FN-2199 (TR-8R). He has also lent his voice to minor roles in Star Wars Rebels and voiced Grogu in the Disney Plus series The Mandalorian. Acord has worked as a sound designer for the Disney Infinity video game and received his second Academy Award nomination for Best Sound Editing for the 2019 film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
