David Atkins is an Australian dancer, choreographer, music-theatre director, and producer. Born on December 12, 1955, he began his performance career at the age of 12 with a role in the musical Mame. As an adult performer, Atkins has been involved in various shows such as A Chorus Line and The Pirates of Penzance. He is also known for creating and performing in his own works, including Dancin' Man and Dynamite. Atkins has directed and produced major live events in different countries, including Victory Ceremonies in Vancouver, Canada. In 2003, he received the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his contributions to the Australian entertainment industry. Additionally, he was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Australian Event Awards in 2010.
