David Lionel Baddiel FRSL (born 28 May 1964) is an English comedian, presenter, screenwriter, and author. He is best known for his work alongside Rob Newman in The Mary Whitehouse Experience and his comedy partnership with Frank Skinner. Born in Troy, New York, Baddiel moved to England with his family at a young age. With his Welsh father and German mother, who fled Nazi Germany, Baddiel's background reflects his diverse heritage. In addition to his comedy career, Baddiel has also found success as a writer, penning a number of popular children's books, including The Parent Agency, The Person Controller, and Birthday Boy.
