David Bamber Biography
David James Bamber (born September 19, 1954) is an English actor known for his work in television and theatre. He was born in Walkden, Lancashire, and began his acting career at the Manchester Youth Theatre in September 1973. Bamber studied drama at Bristol University and later trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), where he won the Gold Medal in 1979. He has appeared in various British television series, mini-series, and TV films, including roles in Hanif Kureishi's The Buddha of Suburbia and Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bamber has also contributed to the audio commentaries for the DVD release of Steven Moffat's Chalk.
