David Bedella Biography
David Bedella (born September 25, 1962) is an American actor currently based in London. He gained recognition for his Olivier award-winning performances in Jerry Springer: The Opera, In The Heights, and & Juliet. Bedella was born in Gary, Indiana and graduated from Merrillville High School in 1980. He started his career in Chicago, winning his first professional acting award in 1985 for his role in A Chorus Line. After touring with Dreamgirls, Jesus Christ Superstar, and 42nd Street, he moved to New York City in 1990. Bedella has worked on Broadway and regionally for 11 years, including a role in the 20th anniversary national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar as Caiaphas (1992-1995).
