David Benoit

David Bryan Benoit is an American jazz pianist, composer, and producer based in Los Angeles, California. Born on August 18, 1953, in Bakersfield, California, Benoit began studying piano at the age of 13. He honed his skills under the guidance of notable pianists Marya Cressy Wright and Abraham Fraser. Benoit has achieved significant success in his career, charting over 25 albums since 1980 and garnering three Grammy Award nominations. He is highly regarded for his contributions to the Pacific Vision Youth Symphony and the Asia America Youth Orchestra as their music director. Additionally, Benoit has played a pivotal role in the animated adaptations of the Peanuts comic strip, such as The Peanuts Movie, where he revived Vince Guaraldi's musical legacy for the franchise.
