David Caruso Biography
David Stephen Caruso (born January 7, 1956) is a retired American actor and producer. He is best known for his roles as Detective John Kelly on the ABC crime drama NYPD Blue (1993–94) and Lieutenant Horatio Caine on the CBS series CSI: Miami (2002–2012). Caruso has appeared in several feature films including An Officer and a Gentleman, First Blood, Twins, Kiss of Death, and Proof of Life. Born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, Caruso is of Irish and Italian descent. He attended Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic School and Archbishop Molloy High School. Before his acting career, Caruso worked as a cinema usher, watching up to 80 movies a week.
