David Crellin

David Crellin (born 1961) is an English actor known for his roles in popular TV shows. He was born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Crellin gained recognition for his portrayal of Billy Hopwood in the soap opera Emmerdale and Alan Wakefield in BBC 2's award-winning series The Cops. He also appeared in Coronation Street as gangster Jimmy Clayton, as well as playing the characters of chargenurse Thornton, receiver Graham Baxter, and teacher Colin Fishwick in the same show. Crellin starred as Jimmy Grainger in the first series of Waterloo Road. In addition to his acting career, he recorded a debut EP called Innocent Bystander. David trained at the Rose Bruford College of Speech & Drama and currently resides in Horwich, near Bolton, with his wife and children.
