David Fane

David Rodney Fane is a New Zealand actor of Samoan descent. Born on December 28, 1966, Fane attended St. Pauls College in Grey Lynn. He began his acting career later in life, training at the New Zealand Drama School and graduating with a Diploma in Acting in 1992. Fane first appeared on television in the sketch comedy show SKITZ and went on to star in the sitcom spinoff 'The Semisis' as the father and the minister. He has also performed in award-winning plays such as 'Niu Sila.' Fane is a founding member of Naked Samoans and has had notable roles in TV shows including 'Sione's Wedding,' 'The Tattooist,' 'bro'Town,' 'Outrageous Fortune,' and 'Diplomatic Immunity.'
