David Froman Biography
David Wesley Froman (December 31, 1938 – February 8, 2010) was an American actor best known for his recurring role as Lieutenant Bob Brooks on the popular television series Matlock. Born in Miami, Oklahoma, Froman graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) in 1961 and taught speech and theater at NEO before pursuing his acting career. Froman appeared in 56 episodes of Matlock from 1986 to 1994 as Lt. Bob Brooks, and also made appearances on other television shows including Hill Street Blues, Trapper John, M.D., 21 Jump Street, Cheers, Diagnosis Murder, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. He was also known for his roles as Gunther Wagner and Bruno on The Edge of Night.
