David Fury is an American television writer, producer, actor, and director. He is best known for his work on popular TV shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Lost, 24, Fringe, Tyrant, and The Tick. Fury was a co-executive producer and writer for the first season of Lost, earning a nomination for a Best Writing Emmy for his episode 'Walkabout.' He also won the Writers Guild of America (WGA) Award for Best Dramatic Series for his work on the first season. Born in New York City, Fury began his career as a stand-up comic before transitioning into writing for shows like The Jackie Thomas Show, House of Buggin, Dream On, and Pinky and the Brain. He also made cameo appearances in Joss Whedon's short film Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.
