David Gautreaux (born June 28, 1951) is an American stage, television, and film actor. He gained recognition for his role as Commander Branch in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Originally, he was cast as Vulcan science officer Xon in the proposed Star Trek: Phase II series, which was later aborted. Gautreaux has appeared in various television series including Man From Atlantis, Search for Tomorrow, One Life to Live, T. J. Hooker, L. A. Law, ER, Rules of Engagement, Boston Legal, and The Beast. He also had recurring roles on Franklin & Bash and Damages. Gautreaux was born in Rhode Island.
