David Haig Biography
David Haig Collum Ward (born 20 September 1955) is an English actor and playwright known for his work in West End productions, television, and film. With a career spanning four decades, Haig has established himself as a versatile performer. He is the author of several plays, including My Boy Jack, which premiered at the Hampstead Theatre in 1997 and was later adapted into a television drama. Haig also starred as Rudyard Kipling in the TV drama, with Daniel Radcliffe playing Kipling's son. In 2017, Haig appeared as the Player in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, sharing the stage with Radcliffe. He has also written The Good Samaritan and Pressure, both of which had successful runs at the Hampstead Theatre. Haig gained further acclaim for his role as Bill in the BBC America series Killing Eve. He was honored with the appointment as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
