David Koechner is an American actor and comedian, born on August 24, 1962. He gained recognition for his roles as Champ Kind in the Anchorman films and Todd Packer on NBC's The Office. Koechner started his career in improvisational comedy in Chicago at ImprovOlympic, under Del Close's teachings, and later joined the Second City Northwest. He moved to New York City in 1995, where he appeared on Saturday Night Live and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. In 1997, Koechner relocated to Los Angeles and began working regularly in film and television comedies. Some of his notable film appearances include Wag the Dog, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and Man on the Moon.
