David Leon Biography
David Jeremy Leon (born 24 July 1980) is an English actor, director, writer, and producer. He is best known for his roles in the films Lives of the Saints (2002) and RocknRolla (2008), as well as his co-starring role in the ITV detective series Vera (2011-2014). Leon made his directorial debut with the award-winning short film Man and Boy (2010), co-directed with Marcus McSweeney. This success led to his first feature-length film, Orthodox (2015). Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Leon comes from a Jewish background and briefly played for Blackburn Rovers F.C.
