David Plouffe
David Plouffe (born May 27, 1967) is an American political and business strategist. He gained prominence as the campaign manager for Barack Obama's successful 2008 presidential campaign. Plouffe has a long history of working within the Democratic Party, serving as a partner at AKPD Message and Media, a party-aligned campaign consulting firm. He was an outside senior advisor to President Obama from his first day in office and later became a Senior Advisor to the President inside the White House. Plouffe joined Uber in 2014 as the Senior Vice President of Policy and Strategy, but later transitioned to a full-time strategic advisor role. He currently serves as a strategic adviser for the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and is a member of the Board of Directors for the liberal nonprofit ACRONYM.
