David Rintoul Biography
David Rintoul (born David Wilson; 29 November 1948) is a Scottish stage and television actor. He studied at the University of Edinburgh and won a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Rintoul has worked extensively in theatre with companies including the Royal National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company. His stage appearances have included various Shakespearean plays such as A Midsummer Night's Dream, Henry IV, As You Like It, and Macbeth. He has also appeared in productions of Candida and Funny Girl. In 2010, Rintoul played Charles Dickens in Andersen's English, a new play by Sebastian Barry.
