Dean Marshall Biography
Dean Marshall is a Canadian actor, writer, and director. He is known for his roles as Sgt. Bates on the Syfy original series Stargate Atlantis, and as Carter on both Da Vinci's Inquest and Da Vinci's City Hall. Marshall began performing at a young age in a steel band and comes from a family originally from Trinidad and Tobago. Before pursuing acting, he served in the Canadian Forces for six years. Since 1993, Marshall has worked in television, film, and theater, taking on diverse roles. He has appeared in 37 different TV shows and films, with his career taking off in 1993. Marshall currently resides in Vancouver.
