Dearbhla Molloy (born 1946) is an Irish actress known for her work on stage and screen. She grew up in Malahide, County Dublin, Ireland, and attended an Irish-language school. At the age of 18, Molloy joined the prestigious Abbey Theatre in Dublin and later toured with a production to Britain. She was then invited to join the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon, where she played notable roles such as Gertrude in Hamlet. In 1991, Molloy appeared on Broadway in Brian Friel's Dancing at Lughnasa, earning a Tony Award nomination. With a career spanning decades, Molloy continues to be a respected figure in the acting industry.
