She rose to fame with her debut album Out of the Blue in 1987, which had several international hits and was certified triple platinum. Gibson's single 'Foolish Beat' made her the youngest female artist to write, produce, and perform a Billboard Hot 100 number-one single. Her second album Electric Youth (1989) also reached double platinum and included the U.S. number-one hit 'Lost in Your Eyes'. In addition to her successful music career, Gibson has acted in various TV shows and movies, and continues to release music to this day.
