Debbie Matenopoulos is an American television host, journalist, and lifestyle expert. She was born on December 13, 1974, in Richmond, Virginia, to Efrosini and Nicolaos T. Matenopoulos. Matenopoulos has Greek ancestry and has an older sister named Maria and an older brother named Ike. She attended John Randolph Tucker High School and later transferred to the Journalism Department at New York University, where she also worked as an intern at MTV. Matenopoulos quickly rose through the ranks and became a story coordinator for MTV News: Unfiltered. In 1997, she auditioned for and was cast as a co-host on the television show 'The View' at the age of 22.
