Debbie Reynolds (April 1, 1932 – December 28, 2016) was an American actress, singer, and businesswoman. With a career spanning almost 70 years, she gained recognition for her role as Kathy Selden in the 1952 film Singin' in the Rain. Reynolds received a Golden Globe nomination for Most Promising Newcomer for her portrayal of Helen Kane in Three Little Words (1950). She continued to achieve success in films like The Affairs of Dobie Gillis (1953), Susan Slept Here (1954), and Tammy and the Bachelor (1957). Reynolds collaborated with Gene Kelly in Singin' in the Rain, How the West Was Won (1962), and The Unsinkable Molly Brown (1964). She also released her first pop music album, titled Debbie, in 1959.
