Deborah Cox is a Canadian singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer. Born on July 13, 1974, in Toronto, she began her career performing in television commercials at the age of 12 and participating in talent shows during her teenage years. Cox gained recognition as a professional backing vocalist for Celine Dion before signing with Arista Records and releasing her self-titled debut album in 1995. Her second album, One Wish (1998), achieved platinum status in the United States and featured the hit single 'Nobody's Supposed to Be Here'. In addition to her successful music career, Cox has also ventured into acting, making her film debut in the Canadian drama film Love in the 2000s.
