    Deborah Joy Winans is an American actress and singer, known for her role as Charity Greenleaf-Satterlee in the Oprah Winfrey Network drama series, Greenleaf. Born on September 6, 1983, in Detroit, Michigan, she is a member of the musical Winans family. Winans graduated from Wayne State University with a BFA degree and later pursued additional training at the Moscow Art Theatre School in Moscow, Russia. She received an MFA degree in acting from the California Institute of the Arts. Winans began her acting career in 2014 with the film Fragile World and later portrayed her aunt CeCe Winans in the television biographical film Whitney. She made her stage debut in the musical Born for This: The BeBe Winans Story. In 2015, Winans joined the cast of Greenleaf as Charity Greenleaf-Satterlee, the youngest daughter.
