Deezer D, born Dearon Thompson on March 12, 1965, was an American actor, rapper, and Christian motivational speaker. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Nurse Malik McGrath in the popular American medical drama series ER, which aired from 1994 to 2009. Additionally, Deezer D appeared in various films including CB4, Fear of a Black Hat, Bringing Down the House, and Romy and Michele's High School Reunion. Beyond his acting career, he released albums such as Unpredictable (2002) and Living Up in a Down World (1999). Deezer D tragically passed away at the age of 55 due to a heart attack on January 7, 2021.
