Delta Burke

Delta Burke (born July 30, 1956) is an American actress, producer, and author. Best known for her role as Suzanne Sugarbaker in the CBS sitcom Designing Women, Burke received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. She has appeared in various television shows including Filthy Rich, Delta, Women of the House, and DAG. Burke has also produced and starred in made-for-TV movies and had a recurring guest role in Boston Legal. She has showcased her talent on Broadway, performing in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Steel Magnolias. Born in Orlando, Florida, Burke was adopted by her mother's husband, Frederick Burke. She graduated from Colonial High School in 1974.
