Dena Kaplan

Dena Amy Kaplan, born on January 20, 1989, is a South African-born Australian actress, singer, dancer, and DJ. She is well-known for her role as Abigail Armstrong in the TV series Dance Academy. Kaplan comes from a family with a background in the arts, with her mother and grandmother being ballet dancers, and her father and grandfather involved in music and acting respectively. She moved to Australia at the age of seven and began her dance training at various schools, including the Australian Ballet School and Jane Moore Academy of Ballet. Kaplan's acting career took off with her appearance alongside David Campbell in The Production Company's Carousel, followed by her role in Dance Academy.
