Dennis Andres (born 23 June 1987) is a German-Canadian actor and stuntman. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Ian Matthews on the popular CBC and Netflix series Workin' Moms. Andres was raised in Berlin, Germany, before immigrating with his family to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. As a child, he excelled in martial arts, earning a black belt in Wado Kai Karate and Kickboxing. He even achieved 6th place in the WKF Nationals in Canada at the age of 18. After attending Cathedral High School and serving as captain of the football team, Andres faced injuries and transitioned into acting. He received mentorship from his school's drama teacher and began his journey in the Players Guild of Hamilton community theatre.
