Derek Hamilton

Derek Hamilton is a former Scottish football player. Born in Kilwinning in 1958, he had a successful career playing for various clubs. Hamilton joined Aberdeen in 1978 and spent five years with the team. In 1983, he moved to St Mirren F.C. and played there for six years. Hamilton was part of the St Mirren team that won the 1987 Scottish Cup Final. After leaving St Mirren in 1989, he had short spells at Stranraer and Morton before retiring in 1991. Hamilton has been living in Stewarton, Ayrshire since 2012.
