Derek Milman Biography
Derek Milman (born March 21, 1979) is an American actor and novelist. He was born in New York City and raised in Westchester County, NY. Milman attended Northwestern University and later received his Master of Fine Arts in acting from the Yale School of Drama. He started his career as a playwright and gained recognition for his play 'A Visionary Drowns,' which premiered Off-Broadway in New York when he was 22. Milman has an extensive stage background, including originating the role of Bill Wade in the 1999 New York premiere of 'Never Swim Alone.' He has also worked at the SoHo Repertory Theater, Yale Repertory Theater, and collaborated with playwright Israel Horovitz at the Gloucester Stage.
